Measure Your Resilience


Working With Resilience recognises that to embed resilience within a workplace it is important to take a systemic approach and to consider the inter-relationship between employees, their teams and the operating environment.

The R@W Toolkit explores behaviours at the individual, team and leader level that are important to creating resilient work climates. It comprises;

  • R@W Team - A model and measure of group resilience
  • R@W Leader - A model and measure of the actions required to lead resilient teams

What is the R@W Scale?

Designed by psychologists Kathryn McEwen and Dr Peter Winwood the R@W Scale is a scientifically researched and validated measure of individual workplace resilience.

The R@W Scale is suitable for adults working in jobs where there is some degree of autonomy in how the work is done – for example management, professional, semi-professional and administrative positions. It assesses performance on the seven components of work resilience within the R@W Model. To date the model and scale have been used successfully on a diverse range of occupations from volunteers and community workers to professional staff and Chief Executive Officers.
